Race For The Cure: Documenting a Heroic Act to Save the Tatas

So, tomorrow I will be shooting a great video intended to promote Susan G. Komen, Race for the Cure and Team Yard House.  I have been given the opportunity and along with my business partner, our company, Lifted Focus will be given full freedom to film as we please.

I have been having trouble with one thing.  How I intend on shooting....."my vision" if you will.  Since I will be documenting in order to promote Susan G. Komen and Race for the Cure, will anyone REALLY mind if I film their....breasts? I would doubt it.  That is what we are here to celebrate.

It's funny, my wife and I have recently had a baby....well, she had the baby, I was the wimpy husband.  We have a beautiful baby girl named Madeline.  After the first 8 months you begin to see the miracle of the female body.  The breasts are a crazy thing.

Without being hokey in anyway I intend on making this video very bright and colorful and hopeful.  I intend on capturing laughter, and celebrations.  Tears of joy and tears of sadness.  Hugs and kisses.  Handshakes and high-fives.

This video is for a great cause and I can't wait to see the finished product.

I only have a moment...

I am at my other job right now waiting to start working.  I thought I get in a few words about our latest projects. We have a videography gig for a wedding coming up.  Quite possibly this Sunday we will be shooting the Huntington Beach Dog Surf Competition....yup, dogs will be on surfboards...surfing...in the ocean.  Lifted Focus will also be working with the Yard House later this year or the start of next year for a philanthropic promotion.

Well, I gotta go to work.

Follow my blog.  I'm Blogging.  I'm a blogger.  I've been blogged about.  Blogging about blogging.  I'm a little bored.  My business partner Richard is supposed to be defining our new website and that website should be called liftedfocus.com.  So go there..., and if it's not up yet you can email richard@liftedfocus.com.  As for me, I'm am sitting here preparing to write about our website...our NEW WEBSITE that I haven't even seen yet....so, be prepared people because it is going to be awesome...I hope.

Of course it will be awesome! It was created by what was formerly known as UnVersed.  Actually, the only thing I had to do with the creation of the website, was agree on some colors and font size.  Richard; did it all.  I told Richard that I would start a blog intended to promote Lifted Focus because my area of expertise differs from him, and my oh my, I think I actually like this writing stuff.  "My oh my"?.  I can't believe I wrote that.  I can't believe I repeated it.  I should've said god dammit.  God Dammit, I should've said god dammit!

Okay I don't want to come off like creeper.  Sometimes I just like to write, and sometimes I think I am funny when I do it.  I'm sorry if it suck; let me know.  I am also sorry for the blasphemy.  Lord forgive me.  Let know me if I write sucky like.


I can't believe the internet allows anyone to write whatever they want about anyone or anything at anytime of any day.  I am pretty sure some countries might kill you if you do something like that...Nevertheless you have to admire the power of the social internet.  The power and influence "We Americans" have on the uncensored internet.  I don't think some people in our country should have the freedom of the internet.  Some people out there should keep there ideas off the double-you-double-you-double-you.  Some people just don't think.

Professionalism is key.

I've read recently that in order to have a successful blog you have to be able to write properly.  The only way someone is going to take your blog seriously is if you speak and write in a manner that is understandable, and free of abbreviations and slang.  I do not want to be looked at as an irresponsible blogger...i'm a father for god sakes.....

Sorry, I was interrupted by my father/husband responsibilities...breakfast, Target, you know...

So while my daughter is sleeping and my wife is at work I'll continue.

This blog was intended to promote a business.  A business started by Richard McNeley and Michael Reyes.  We are writers, editors, producers, musicians, and actors.  We enjoy this craft of making videos, movies, short films, promotions...or whatever you want to call them these days.  Social Media.  Clips on the verge of "going viral"  We enjoy its process.  The ups and downs of creativity are what make this business fun.  The laughter of success, as well as the laughter associated with our flubs, keeps us coming back for more.  We love to watch our work in action.  OUR WORK will drive up sales for your business.  It will provide your business a visual aid.  Before people get in there cars and drive to a shop or enter there credit card, they want to SEE and HEAR what is out there.  If they could "taste/touch test" it from their own home I am sure they would...we're working on that one.

Am I a writer?

Okay, blog number two.  From me to you.  I have been reading other peoples blogs....and they are talented people.  Words running around words, around sentences, jumping, and tumbling like a gymnast.  I'm watching, on the edge of my seat thinking that I'm not going to make it, that something is going to stop me from continuing my journey through this unknown land that the writer has made for me....or for themselves....I'm afraid that I can't keep up with these other poly-syllabic geniuses...I'm afraid because I think I sometimes use words that have a meaning that I've never learned.... Maybe I am a just big hack, taking and taking, more and more shit I hear from others.  I know I shouldn't curse on the web because one day someone will see this....should've took the Samuel Clemens route

Get Lifted and FOCUS.

I am motivated to write again and this blog proves just that.  I have sent my script out there, and after a few comments and critiques I have managed to walk away intact.  I am currently thinking of another story; it is a dark and terrible comedy about the power the woman has over the "softer man".  This could be hilarious but simultaneously twisted.  I have very few details now but I will be working them out shortly.

Back to business...if you are having trouble finding a decent video guy you can look us up.  Lifted Focus.  Remember this name...Lifted Focus.  It has potential....What I am trying to say is that I have a Video Production Company and I truly believe that we are a talented group of individuals that can create any type video project you desire.

Sometimes I think I should just write what I WANT to see on the big screen because nothing, these days, makes me want to come back for more.  I have no idea what this blog is going to accomplish but I am in desperate need of something new.  I am in need of something challenging.  Someone notice me and look me up and give me a damn job.  I am sick of working two damn jobs and....look I know I should be grateful for what I have I mean some people can't even get a job, and lack health insurance...I guess I want more.  I want a house.  I want a well paying job...six figures would be ideal...I want to make my life and surroundings to be better for my wife and my daughter.

I am starting a blog for my company.  M company that is struggling with its identity.  I have a great deal of respect for my business partner, and our idea, and that is why I think we can make some amazing work.  We started with a premature and ironic name UnVersed, and although it was a clever play on words on what we would do....it wasn't what we ended up doing....if that makes any sense at all.  Our NEW venture is called LIFTED FOCUS.....I made it all in caps because I believe it to be as if i am yelling at the top of my lungs at my mother who I am seeing for the very first time.  Anyways, I am just giving this blog thing a try .....and come to think of it I like it.  I have a feeling these blog things are going to be worth something someday.  I am glad I have this one.  Lifted Focus Mother Fucker, Lifted Focus for life, In Lifted Focus we trust, I will plaster this name everywhere.  Before I share too much, because I am delirious from lack of sleep, I want to say I plan on keeping up with this blog thing.
